NexOps is a Mauritian software company. We build the Kolab family, NexBooks and MySyndic: products that treat this island as the whole market, not a rounding error.
We started by building for real businesses we could sit inside: a manufacturing workshop, a clinic, a patisserie, a lodge, a syndic. Every module shipped because someone here needed it that week, not because a roadmap somewhere else said so. That habit stuck, and it is why the products feel like they were made by people who have stood at the counter.
The thesis is simple. Mauritian companies pay dollar prices for software that gets our holidays wrong, taxes wrong and languages wrong. A local platform can be better where it matters and fairer where it hurts. Rupee billing, MRA fluency, Kreol on the shop floor and WhatsApp in the workflow are not features to us; they are the baseline.
Kolab is built to last: boring, reliable infrastructure, backups that get restore-drilled twice a year, and honest documentation of what each control does and does not enforce. We would rather lose a deal than ship theatre.
The soul of all of it is Mauritius 2.0: the conviction that the next Mauritian miracle is a workforce upgrade. Every worker with a dignified digital workplace in their pocket, every skill visible and rewarded, every SME on tools priced in the money it earns. When we choose what to build next, that is the test it has to pass.
