Kolab Launchpad · Koudey In build

How are we doing right now? One glance.

Kolab Launchpad gathers the numbers scattered across your tools into live boards: today's sales, who is in, what is late, what broke, what is owed. On your phone at the beach, or on a TV on the shop wall.

  • Tiles from every Kolab product, connected in one tap
  • TV wallboard mode for the shop floor or the kitchen pass
  • The 07:30 WhatsApp digest: yesterday's numbers, today's plan
  • Read-only share links for the partner abroad, revocable any time

Made for

Owners of any Mauritian SMEMulti-site retailers and restaurantsWorkshops and factoriesMSPs and agencies with client boardsPartners and investors abroadAny team that works to a target

The owner's cockpit, and the team's

Ask a Mauritian SME owner how the business is doing right now and the honest answer is a feeling: a WhatsApp voice note from the manager, a glance at the till, a call to whoever picks up first. The numbers exist. They are just scattered across five systems and a notebook.

Kolab Launchpad, Koudey to its friends, puts them on live boards instead. Tiles show today's sales, who is in, what is late, what broke and what is owed, in rupees, in your language, wherever you are. The owner gets a cockpit, and so does the team: the floor board on the wall answers questions before anyone asks them.

Koudey is in build, but the pattern is not new. It already runs as the daily home screen of two working systems we built and operate. Productizing it means any business gets the same glance, whatever mix of Kolab products, spreadsheets and other tools it runs on.

A pattern already proven at work

The Launchpad idea is not a sketch. It is the home screen of two working NexOps-built systems, looked at every day, and Koudey turns that pattern into a product of its own.

  • A maker-space platform whose Launchpad home is a live stats dashboard
  • A Mauritian manufacturing ERP that opens on the same at-a-glance view every morning
  • Every Kolab product already publishes its numbers through one shared data pattern, ready to become tiles
  • Digests and alerts ride the WhatsApp channel NexOps already runs for its own monitoring

Modules

Everything inside Kolab Launchpad

Every module is a brick. Start with what hurts most, snap on the rest when you are ready.

Tile library

Big numbers, trends, lists, gauges and progress toward targets. Pick a tile, point it at a number, done.

Kolab sources

One tap connects any family product: sales today from Kolab Retail, attendance from People Manager, arrears from MySyndic, queue waits from Kolab iQ, uptime from Veyer, jobs from Fabrik.

External sources

CSV upload, a spreadsheet link, or a simple API and webhook for the systems we did not build.

Boards per audience

The owner board, the floor board, the finance board. Each role sees its own, nothing more.

TV wallboard mode

Full screen, auto-rotating boards for the shop floor, the kitchen pass or the workshop wall.

Morning digest

The 07:30 WhatsApp summary: yesterday's numbers and today's plan, read in ten seconds.

Threshold alerts

When a number crosses a line, WhatsApp fires: sales below pace at 15:00, more than five in the queue, fridge above 8 degrees.

Share links

A read-only board for the owner abroad or the investor. Revoke it any time and it dies instantly.

Targets and pace

Set the monthly target and Koudey does the am-I-on-pace arithmetic, every hour of every day.

Snapshot history

This day last week, last month, last year. Every tile remembers, so you compare instead of guessing.

Phone-first boards

Big type and thumb-size tiles, built for a phone held in one hand at the counter or the beach.

Role-based visibility

Finance tiles hidden from the floor board, enforced server-side, not just hidden on screen.

The digest

Your whole morning in one message

At 07:30 a WhatsApp message lands: yesterday's numbers, today's plan, and anything waiting for a decision. It is the daily report nobody had to write, and it reads before the coffee cools.

  • Yesterday's sales, attendance and exceptions, summarised
  • Today's deliveries, leave and bookings from connected sources
  • Tap through to the full board when a number looks off

Alerts

A line crossed is a message sent

Draw a line on any tile and Koudey watches it so nobody has to. When sales fall behind pace, the queue grows past five, or the fridge passes 8 degrees, WhatsApp fires with the number itself, not a vague warning.

  • Thresholds on anything: money, counts, temperatures, minutes
  • Quiet hours respected; the digest catches what waited overnight
  • Recovery messages close the loop, so silence means fine

Sources

One tap for the family, one upload for the rest

Every Kolab product already publishes its numbers, so connecting a source is one tap and the tiles arrive ready-made. For everything else there is CSV upload, a spreadsheet link, or a simple webhook.

  • Ready-made tiles per product: retail, people, syndic, queues, uptime, jobs
  • Every source carries a last-sync stamp; stale is said out loud
  • Remove a source and its tiles grey out, they never pretend

Boards

Each audience gets its own glance

The owner, the floor and the finance office do not need the same screen. Build a board per audience, decide who sees it, and let the TV rotate through the ones that belong on the wall.

  • Role-based visibility enforced server-side, per board and per tile
  • TV mode rotates boards full screen, no clicks, no login prompts
  • Phone boards keep the big type and thumb-size tiles

Local by design

Built for how Mauritius runs a business

The glance has to survive the realities here: the partner overseas, the cyclone warning, the power cut, and a team that reads in three languages.

The owner abroad

Many Mauritian businesses have a partner or owner overseas. The share link is the weekly report, live, with no spreadsheet emailed on Sunday night.

Month-end pace

Is the month saved by the 25th? The pace tile answers every day, so the last week is a plan instead of a panic.

Cyclone day board

One glance during a warning: who is safe, what is closed, what reopens when. The board every WhatsApp group is trying to be.

Power-cut honesty

When the current goes, a stale tile says it is stale, with a last-updated stamp. Koudey never dresses old numbers as fresh ones.

Three languages

Tile labels in English, French or Kreol Morisien, per board, so the floor board reads the way the floor speaks.

Rupees everywhere

Every money tile is formatted in rupees with the separators your accountant expects. No currency dropdown to get wrong.

Boost on the board

A target on the wall motivates when the team set it together. Koudey shows shared progress and celebrates the win, and it refuses to become a surveillance screen.

Targets set together

The monthly number goes up on the wall once the team has agreed it. Public target, shared progress, honest pace.

Progress bars, not surveillance

Boards show team progress bars, never individual surveillance tiles. The wall celebrates the shop, not a ranking of people.

Bravo moments

Target hit: the board says bravo and Boost points land on the whole team, the same points they know from other Kolab products.

In the wild

What it looks like in real businesses

A bakery with a wall TV

Orders, production and till sales rotate on the screen above the ovens, while the 07:30 digest reaches the owner's phone before the shutters go up.

A garage with a partner in France

The partner follows the week through a share link. The Sunday call is now about decisions, because the numbers were never in question.

An MSP running 12 clients

One board per client mixes Veyer uptime with Tiket ticket counts through the Kolab ITSM link. The Monday review runs itself.

Questions

Asked all the time

Do we need other Kolab products for this to be useful?
One source already makes a useful board, and each Kolab product you add connects in one tap with ready-made tiles. For systems we did not build, the Group tier takes CSV uploads, spreadsheet links and webhooks.
Can the floor see the finance numbers?
Only if you decide so. Visibility is set per board and per tile and enforced server-side: a finance tile hidden from the floor board is never delivered to that screen at all.
What happens during a power cut or a bad connection?
A tile that stops receiving data says it is stale and shows its last-updated stamp. When power and internet return, it catches up and the stamp refreshes. No pretending.
Does Koudey track individual staff performance?
No. Boards show team progress bars, never individual surveillance tiles. Individual performance belongs in Kolab People Manager's review cycles, with the person in the room.
What do we need for the TV on the wall?
Any TV with a browser, or an inexpensive HDMI stick. Open the board link, go full screen, and it rotates on its own. There is no box to buy from us.
Are share links safe?
A share link is read-only, shows only the tiles you chose, and revokes instantly. No personal data appears on a shared board by default, in line with the Data Protection Act 2017.

Put the business where you can see it

One board and three sources answer the daily question; the wall TV and the 07:30 digest do the rest. Founding customers set the tile list with us, at the founding rate.
